What is the quality you most admire in a zero client? Strong, but silent…
What do you think is the lowest depth of despair for an IT manager? Ping result: Destination host unreachable.
What word or expression do you most overuse? Umm, let me think, umm, umm….
If you could turn anything into a zero client, what would you choose and why? My house needs way too many of my weekend hours for maintenance.
What do you like most about not having to support PCs? Minimized face time with those annoying end users

Jeff Cunningham is an Information Services Manager with 25 years invested in technology for higher education, specifically at the University of Maryland’s Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. His expertise runs the gamut of specialized applications for education and their hardware and infrastructure demands to the latest in virtualization technology. By replacing PCs in the computer labs with Pano Logic, Jeff nearly eliminated support and maintenance visits. Jeff also moved faculty onto Pano Logic virtual desktops and set them up with Pano Remote so they could access their desktops from their home computers, reducing the need for dual licenses for specialized software. Jeff is an avid reader and runner in his off time.

Supporting a network with additional faculty, staff and student PC support demands for both work and personal computers was draining his two-person IT staff so Jeff Cunningham turned to Pano Logic. Jeff cut his energy costs in the computer labs by replacing PCs with the power-sipping Pano Devices, which draw less than 5 watts, connecting to Pano Logic virtual desktops, which slashed the amount of time spent on support and maintenance. Faculty members requiring specialized math and statistics software can now access the applications on their virtual desktop from home, saving on licensing costs.  Read More
