Pano Express provides a complete installation of the Pano System for 50 users - including 50 zero client Pano Devices and an optimally configured dual quad-core server with direct-attached RAID storage needed for 50 Windows virtual desktops.
All the Pano Logic, VMware and Microsoft software you need is included - all completely preinstalled and ready to run. Pano Manager and vCenter Server provide desktop virtual machine (DVM) management tools, running on the VMware vSphere 4 ESXi industry-standard hypervisor.
Template desktop virtual machines for both Windows XP and Windows 7 are preconfigured on the server hard drives, preinstalled with Pano Direct Service and optionally with the OpenOffice.org productivity suite so you can get started using them right away. Fifty Microsoft Virtual Enterprise Centralized Desktop (VECD) one year subscription licenses are also included.
An automated Setup Wizard speeds the process of integrating Pano Express into your company’s network. All you need to do is unbox the server, run the Setup Wizard, and then deploy the Pano Devices on your LAN – and you'll be ready to deliver best of class zero client VDI to 50 users.
And to keep you up and running we've included the first year of Pano System Support and Mainteance and a one year subscription to updates for VMware vSphere Essentials in the Pano Express suite.
Key benefits of the Pano Express suite include:
- Lowest cost per seat for any true virtual desktop solution at just $489/seat, costing as little as one-half to one-third of just the hardware and software needed to deploy thin client-based VDI, while also saving you the costs, staff resources and delays that a custom install can involve.
- Everything needed for a full production VDI deployment based on best of breed technology - just add your own network, displays, keyboards and mice. No need to worry about delays from configuring complicated settings or missing key components at the last minute.
- Optimized performance, right out of the box because we’ve tuned and tested the integrated hardware and software, leveraging a broad base of VDI experience and best-practices along with with Intel's cutting-edge support for virtualization in the Westmere CPU architecture, potentially saving you weeks tweaking and tuning to optimize everything.
Pano Express's hardware and software have been optimized and benchmarked for up to 50 concurrent Windows XP and Windows 7 virtual desktops with a target workload consists of light to medium office or task work, running two to three open applications at a time along with light use in Microsoft Office 2007 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet Explorer web browser.
