Pano Logic Names Matt Alfano as Vice President of Business Development

Experienced business development executive joins virtual desktop company to drive strategic technology partnerships and alliances

MENLO PARK, Calif. – August 20, 2009 – Pano Logic®, the leader in virtual desktops, today announced the appointment of Matt Alfano as vice president of business development. In this role, Alfano will be responsible for developing the company’s strategic technology partnerships and alliances. He joins Pano Logic from Wyse, a leading thin client solutions provider, where he served as the senior director of business development and was responsible for hardware OEM relationships and company alliances. During Alfano’s tenure at Wyse, he established and managed relationships with leading companies such as NEC, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Symantec and AMD.

“Matt is well-versed in the desktop space and will bring valuable experience to Pano Logic, including his ability to develop strategic alliances with key partners,” said John Kish, CEO of Pano Logic. “With the desktop virtualization market beginning to accelerate, Matt will help Pano Logic develop the strategic technology partnerships that will best help us fulfill market demand today and in the future.”

Prior to Wyse, Alfano was the director of business development for CEVA, Inc., a licensor of DSP cores and communications solutions to the semiconductor and electronics industries. While there he focused on licensing and strategic partnerships. Before CEVA, Alfano worked in private equity at TPG Growth and J&W Seligman. He began his career in the technology investment banking group at Credit Suisse. Alfano received his B.S. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“The virtual desktop market is an incredibly exciting space and poised for rapid growth and adoption,” said Alfano. “With its zero-client architecture, the Pano System is an incredibly differentiated, innovative offering and uniquely positioned to be the best-of-breed solution in the market.  I look forward to working with the executive team to determine where the Pano solution can be broadly implemented and how customers can benefit from our technology and partnership ecosystem.”
